Black Friday 2026 falls on Friday, November 27, 2026 and Cyber Monday on Monday, November 30, 2026. As of the date on this page, no Black Friday fragrance deals exist yet, and we are not going to pretend otherwise by printing a "predicted" price or a discount we made up. When real deals go live in November we will post them here, on this page, with the live Amazon price and the date we checked it. Bookmark it. Until then, this page does the useful work you can do in September: it explains, from actual reporting rather than hope, which kinds of fragrance historically discount and which rarely do, and whether you should buy now or wait — bottle class by bottle class.
Everything on our shortlist below is priced live from Amazon by the same data layer every other page on this site uses, stamped with the date. Where Amazon reports its own list price, we show the gap; where it does not, we show nothing. No number on this page was typed by a person.
What historically discounts in fragrance — and what rarely does
The headline sales are not about fragrance.Adobe's Cyber Monday 2025 report — the closest thing to a scoreboard for online holiday discounting — put the deepest Cyber Monday markdowns in electronics (31% off list), toys (28%) and apparel (25%). It published no fragrance-specific discount figure at all; the beauty line item it reported was cosmetics, at roughly half a billion dollars of Cyber Monday spend. Fragrance sellsenormously in that window — Adobe's season data showed personal-care spending spiking during Cyber Week — but it is not one of the categories retailers use for their loudest discounts.
Designer fragrance does get marked down, through retailers. Reporting on the 2025 sales found perfume discounts across a wide range — UK coverage put it at roughly 20% to 70% depending on the retailer and the bottle, with mainstream designer houses (YSL, Lancome, Gucci, Marc Jacobs, Versace) appearing in the sale listings — and US press reported a Walmart Cyber Monday markdown on Versace Eros Flame to around half its usual price. The pattern is that the discount comes from the retailer — a department store, a beauty chain, a big-box store, or a third-party seller on Amazon — not from the brand.
The price-controlled luxury houses rarely do.Chanel is the textbook case: the house itself does not run sales, including on fragrance, and the usual "deal" from an authorized counter is a gift with purchase — the rare exception is a retailer's own markdown (2025 UK coverage listed a single Chanel at 20% off at Sephora, against much deeper cuts elsewhere). Reporting on the 2025 Hudson's Bay liquidation described how houses like Chanel and Dior write themselves out of storewide promotions by contract, because they sell the vast majority of their stock at full price and intend to keep it that way. That matters for this site because Dior is one of our most-ranked houses. On Amazon, a Dior bottle's price is set by whichever seller holds the listing — it can move, but not because Dior decided to have a sale.
The everyday "street price" is already the discount. Independent price trackers make a point worth repeating: fragrance routinely sells well under its counter price on ordinary days, and holiday "event" markdowns are often measured against a list price nobody was paying. Our own live board below illustrates it — on most days several of our picks already sit far below Amazon's stated list price, in September, with no sale on. A Black Friday percentage is only meaningful against the price you could have paid last week.
Gift sets are the holiday product, and January is their clearance. Brands and retailers push boxed sets — bottle plus travel spray or lotion — as the season's hero product, and the same trackers note that leftover sets hit their yearly lows in the post-Christmas clearance. Good for you in January; useless if the gift is due on the 25th.
Buy now or wait for November? By bottle class
Arabian-house bottles (Lattafa, Armaf, Rasasi, Al Haramain) — buy when you need it. These are already cheap and already sit below list on ordinary days; there is not much margin for a retailer to cut, so the realistic November gain is a few dollars. If the gift is for a December birthday, waiting costs you nothing; if you want it now, waiting gains you almost nothing. Our under-$50 gift list and Arabian roundup are the shortlists.
Mainstream designer EDTs (Versace, Paco Rabanne, Armani, YSL, Jean Paul Gaultier) — the class most likely to move.This is the tier retailers historically discount for the holidays, and the one where our own price feed most often shows a bottle far under Amazon's list. If you can wait until late November, it is reasonable to — with the plain caveat that "historically likely" is not a promise, and that a third-party seller's Amazon price can go up as well as down when demand spikes. Set the live price today as your benchmark and only call November a deal if it beats it.
Price-controlled luxury (Dior, and Chanel if you shop off-site) — do not wait for a brand sale that is not coming. Buy when you need it from a trustworthy seller. What you canwatch for is the holiday coffret: a boxed set that adds a travel spray to the bottle for little or no extra money is the only reliable form of "discount" these houses offer, and it is a genuinely better gift than a bare bottle. Gift sets and samplers — buy early for gifting, late for yourself. Sets are seasonal stock: the November window is when the selection is widest, and the January clearance is when leftovers are cheapest. If it is a present, buy in the window; if it is for you, the gift-set ranking will still be here in January.

How to not get fooled in November
Three habits. First, benchmark now: note today's live price on the board below for anything you want, so a November "40% off" against an inflated list price does not impress you if it is two dollars cheaper than September. Second, check the seller before the price — Black Friday is peak season for counterfeit listings, and a designer bottle far below every other seller is a warning, not a win; our spotting-fakes guide has the checklist. Third, read the size: a suspiciously cheap listing is often a 30ml or a 50ml sitting next to a 100ml photo.
What we will post here when deals go live
When Amazon's Black Friday event opens — in 2025 it ran from November 20 through December 1, and the 2026 dates had not been announced when this was written — we will update this page with the bottles from our rankings that are genuinely below their pre-sale price, each with the live price, the date we checked it, and a plain note on whether it beats the ordinary street price. We will not list a deal we have not verified, we will not list a discount measured only against a list price, and we will say so when a much-hyped sale turns out to be a couple of dollars.
